I play everyday and yet have never completed a timed event. This current Easter egg/charm event is over in about 5 days and I don't have half of what is needed even though I play everyday and have been using the turtle charm - how are you supposed to be able to complete these timed events?

In my opinion, they are impossible and I don't even try. Wish I could remove that stupid cake from my manor. I put my energies into the un-timed quests and enjoy myself. That's just my 2 cents

All the timed events are possible, they just require a lot of room searches.
The Easter one for instance requires you to get 5 x 50 parts of the charm, so if you are the luckiest player on MM it would take 250 rooms searches over the 14 days, but we all know that never happens as you don't always get a lollipop when searching a room, even with a turtle or other charm. Then when you get the lollipop and exchange it with the easter bunny you might not get the part of the charm you want, so really you need to be prepared to be searching around 50 rooms a day to get enough lollipops to exchange. I have one friend who finished this after a couple of days.

I didn't get any more Easter events after the charm.

I could only see Easter bunnies the first day, banished some, after that nothing.
And up until yesterday, friends were sending me cakes as gifts, but nowhere to be found in my inventory. Suddenly yesterday, 70 cakes appeared.

To search 50 rooms a day to be able to complete this quest would mean that you would have to buy energy as I run out after visiting each room once and energy isn't fully restored for a day - I don't want to spend money - you should be able to complete all quests and events without having to do that.

I agree! They make the quests so impossible that one would have to pay to complete them. Even then, sooo much work, it's not fun anymore.

Do either of you have the rose artefact 'flowers of passion'? Or the games torch artefact? You can run either of those with a golden Phoenix and your energy will recharge every second.
There are lots of others too which I can't remember off the top of my head, but energy of the stars and also I think charms from collecting some valentines rewards also work with a golden Phoenix and energy should not be a problem:)
