    Helping friends Empty Helping friends

Post  Guest Tue Mar 13, 2012 6:01 pm

I have noticed that quite a few of my friends are very low levels in helping friends though they are 30+ players. I think this is a huge mistake. Strength is given daily to help friends and should be used! Will I spend diamonds to get more strength? Ermmmmm no. But I do use what is given often during the day. Because of that I am lvl 22 friend. That means I get to visit 22 friends and each one gives me 100 coins, 50 exp, 5 runes and a battery. That adds up to be a whole lot! Take the time to be a good friend, it's worth it Very Happy

I agree. I also actively avoid people who have reputation levels of 1. I figure if people don't spend time helping their friends then they aren't serious players and are unlikely to gift or trade too. It only makes sense to help your friends and get the daily experience!

Helping friends Empty Helping friends with a low rep level

Post  mhart Tue Mar 27, 2012 7:51 pm

Rather than immediately write off those with low reps, I have been posting on the walls of those players something like this:

"If you visit friends you can get $, exp and reputation. If use your strength to leave tips you can increase your rep which over time increases the qty of $, exp and rep you get. You can move to higher levels faster."

Some people have not responded - I suspect that they seldom play and I eventually delete them as friends.

However, several people have thanked me and said that they were still figuring out the game and appreciated the info. Two of those friends now exchange gifts and collection items with me every day.

    Cheers,

    Michael

My rep is one level higher than my experience. I visit daily because some times it helps to get to the next level. Very Happy

I agree with this. I was one of those ignorant people who didn't realize you were supposed to visit other people. I just played with my daughters and hadn't added any other "friends" so we had no clue. Because of this, my reputation is only 9 but I am on level 26 because until a week ago, I had never visited anyone before. I am glad I found this forum because I have learned a lot.

Don't forget to get your 2 free expanders this weekend. Enter "witty91" in the code slot. They add "energy" to your ability to leave friends hints. They will help your reputation move up faster. :-D

When you leave friends hints it pops up a pink heart. What is the purpose of this? Also what hints are you actually leaving your friends? When I am in a room I get a note that this friend is helping me. What are they doing? Sorry I use my strength every day but don't actually know what it is that I am doing.

The pink heart is building your reputation. For every rep number you get, that is how many friends you get a daily bonus from when you visit them. While at a friends manor you can see in the upper left corner of your screen what your current rep is and how many more hearts you need to increase to the next level. When you leave a hint or receive one it is an increase to that room. Depending on the hint you get a percentage increase of coins, experience, or chance to find an item. Your friend isn't actually in the room helping. You can also bring helpers floating around your manor to a room who will also give the same bonuses.
