It may seem obvious, but just a tip for using the extra coins. Once you've opened the rooms that require coins, use any other coins to purchase the Copper Phoenix and the Copper Clover. The phoenix will cause your energy to recharge more quickly and the clover increases your chances of finding an item. If I have any coins, I buy one or both of these items and use them constantly.

Now I have the hang of using charms I always have a turtle, silver sun, an elephant, magnet and often a Buddha running at the same time. I have stocked up on items from the Chic on the beach Collection and I would advise everyone to do the same. Use the turtle when banishing the Lifesaver (guy) he's more likely to drop the flippers and divers masks and then keep 4 of these for the Chic on the Beach Collection. For some reason they're not taken when the collection is charged - for once something works in our favour - so make hay while the sun shines guys! - it won't last

That has to be the best MM glitch in our favor. I charged the Chic on a Beach 75 times, and I have more turtles and silver suns than I need! I've been using the turtle every day since then, because it helps to have it running when visiting friends. The drop rate of batteries and containers is higher for friend visit rewards, if the turtle is on.
As for stacking charms, you can stack as many kinds as the game will let you! I've used the following all together at the same time: Turtle, Faithful Heart, Faberge, Midas, Cornucopia, Galactic Nano, Sun (or Phoenix), Elephant, Magnet, Buddha, and Astronaut's luck.

75 times??? geez. Also, do the friend rewards really "drop" in the same way that items do? I guess I've never noticed a difference in the number of batteries or containers when a turtle was running.

Yeah, I get more batteries and containers when I use a turtle while visiting friends.
I use coins to banish Snatchins (50 exp. each) and also to purchase the pointer thingies that make the hidden objects glow, as well as use them for the aforementioned charms.

LOL! It's all a cycle. When you use a turtle to search rooms, you get more beach cocktails and inflatable duckies. Then, use a turtle when banishing the swimmers to get more chic beach items. Charge the collection and you get more turtles. A never-ending cycle.

Absolutely - this is my strategy too. I'm not expecting it to last forever so I'm saving up those turtles!
