Famous Pirates (Collection 80)

Can anyone tell me if we need to collect a lot of these pirates? I read somewhere that there is a quest to collect 7 of each. A friend has just asked me for my 'spare' pirate (I have 2) and when I checked she has over 13 of this particular one. Normally I would be more than happy to gift it but is she being a bit disingenuous in asking for it when already she has so many? BTW she not normally someone I trade with so I don't know her well.

Once you finish building your pirate ship, you will get a quest to obtain 7 of each pirate so you can enter the pirate ship (along with the required 10x cannonballs). I'm happy to share my extras now that I am done. FYI, I got a whole lot while using my turtle and banishing Blackbeard. Sometimes he even dropped two pirates at a time!:-)

Thanks, I think that confirms what I suspected. I can't understand why she needs so many though. I am still a way off finishing my brig I should have the required number by then but I'll bear it in mind. Cheers.
