This is in addition to needed a new set of the monster books -- apparently 1 each. ( thank you Welcome!)

It appears that GI is making quests require very large quantities of items and unfortunately our current stash doesn't count towards it. This seems to be a punishment and a laugh in our face at the same time. We nowmhave to get a large number of items, BUT we are taking away your m-g abilities...ha ha ha. Not funny, GI. :x Quests like these are more likely to turn people off to the game.

Those of us still not updated (for various reasons) CAN still gift our friends who have moved to the other side, just not from their wish lists. Many of us have die-hard friends who despite not being able to see friend's wish list have been asked for items thru wall messages. We can send these things through our gift wall and they can do the same for us. And, of course, we can still ask for gifts from our friends on the other side via their walls.

Just to clarify, you only need *one* of each of the magic books and then must charge it *once* for the first leg of the quest towards the island....not five. I think there is some confusion because there are five total books in the collection.

Hope that makes things seem a little easier.

Aaaah,, you could be right. ). But, don't we have a full moon tonight? How much, if any, of the previous full moon quests exist in the update? There certainly was a lot of talk going around that we would get the full moon quests back, right where we left off at the next full moon. Tonight?

Who knows with GI? They aren't the wisest when it comes to update timing. Remember the two before this last one were within days of each other, too.

What a great point! I guess we will see what happens...

There will be an Alien Achievement as well (previous Alien kills will be credited)
So, stock up on Alien Weapons (Guardian of the Universe)

This pretty much concludes all the info I can gather. Good luck to us all.

As a side note, since multi-gifting will be gone. It might be wise to look over your collections and build everything up to at least 10 or so. For example, who knew we would need 25 miso soup, t-rex fillets and tiramisu's? So, those long forgotten Christmas collections, it may be wise to build them up as well. Just my advice, take it or leave it.....:-)

Hey I unfortunately did update before reading all the drawbacks. If any of you would like to add me and maybe help :/ I'm not spending money to finish their pirates quests, then feel free. 2f7173 and I know I can only send one thing a day but I would be glad to help as much as the limited new version allows. Although to be honest dreading the filet/soup thing cause I gave those away before thinking they were not terribly necessary. Anyways all of yalls information has helped me a lot. Thanks.

Just posted a couple more items to the list posted earlier.

25 Cognac and 25 Vodka needed for quest. Must have in gift box before updating, then accept only when quest comes.

Also, heard that someone recvd a message that if they do not update, they will be reset to level 50. So, I sent a message to GI to ask directly. Either way, I am updating this weekend. Have a little work let to do before I update. I urge everyone to get their manor in order and get ready to update or quit. Can't see anyone being satisfied at level 50 again.
