Extra coins and energy when searching?

This is a really silly question, especially from someone who's made it to level 174, but I just noticed that I am getting coins and energy when finding items while searching rooms. This is in addition to any charms/helpers/tips. has this been happening all along and I never noticed?

I've noticed the coins and the energy symbol appearing when I find items in a room, however neither my energy level, nor coin bank value has increased. Now in relation to you, I'm still a newbie, but I suspect this may be a carry over from the Facebook version, and they didn't remove the programming lines when developing the game for iPad.
However if someone would like to correct my thought process, please do!

I think it has something to do with the helpers, at least i think cs they drop a lot when i have tips in the rooms. I had this from the beginning and its kinda annoying but thats whats the magnet for i guess.

I have been playing this for almost a year now and have notice the coin and energy drop since day one of my game progress so it's definitely not something new though. As for whether or not the actually increase you coin and energy bonus I couldn't tell ya because I've never paid attention to it.

when you go into a room the amount of energy/coins you will receive once the room is cleared is always shown. If you have charms running, the additional enerygy/coins will be shown as + ## If you didn't earn the energy from exploring rooms, you wouldn't be leveling up very often. The energy/coins isn't given for finding items - you will receive the indicated energy/coins even if you don't find a single item as long as you clear the room
