That event has finished now, when it ends all the snatchins relating to that quest disappear. The event quests have timers on them which are in the events box on the right of your screen. The one showing at the moment is the St Patrick's day event.

Yup, I noticed that now! I was still getting rose petals last night and wanted to banish the fairy roses. This morning I finally found one and then I stopped getting petals lol.
