My old ipad's touchscreen kept giving me problems and then eventually stopped working this afternoon so I brought it in to Apple. It was still under warranty so they had to replace it. I had backed up everything before I brought it in and when I got home, I restored it. Now every time I try and open my game it crashes. My husband had the bright idea to delete the app from my ipad and then reinstall it. The game started over from the very beginning! I was level 189. I freaked out and so we hooked it back up to itunes and restored it again. We never backed it up so I am hoping my original data is still there. It is back to crashing again every time I open it. Any suggestions? I have asked GI for help. Do you think I lost my game?

Maybe try Apple support. It sounds like your new iPad is under warranty, maybe they can help you. Truly a nightmare, keep us posted!

ok, thankfully my ipad had also backed up to iCloud the night before so I was able to restore my iPad using the iCloud back up and my game is working. I lost my progress from yesterday and of course I battled 2 bosses, but I will take it! Thank you so much Pauline and Poppy! I have been playing this game from almost the beginning and the thought of losing everything was upsetting. I think I would have just quit if that was the case. Now I just need to get GI to re-register my game on the new iPad and I will be all set.
