We have 60 days to collect 5 sets of 5 collections (current collection numbers are 271 – 276) in order to receive the reward, a Christmas Chest, which contains charms, festive food, and champagne. Let’s begin with the quests…
THE QUESTS
Quest 1: “Jolly Old Knight.” Explore the rooms of the manor to collect and charge the Winter Magician collection. The items for this collection are scattered all around the manor. Look at the findable items for a room to see if any of the collection items are included. This quest was not that difficult to complete. However, you will need items to charge the collection so I recommend that you start requesting them from your friends immediately! Go to the Winter Magician collection (currently number 275) and click on the box underneath the “charge” button to start requesting items.
Quest 2: “Ghageen and Friends.” You need to find a Jolly Alien (drops from the Octopus) and the Christmas Robot (drops from the Vacuum Robot).
Quest 3: “On New Year’s Eve…” Charge the Ice Runes collection by exploring rooms in Words mode. I had all but one of the collection items and traded with a friend for the Rune of Silence. However, thanks to our friend Karen, we have info on where to find these items:
Purity – African room
Flow – Bathroom
Time – Living room
Rest – Japanese room
Silence – Library
Quest 4: “The Gifts Are Received.” Find these three ghosts (Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet to Come) by exploring the Fortune Telling Room. It took me many explorations to find them all.
Quest 5: “Do Cats Dream of Costumes?” Look for Stylish Voldemort in the Hallway. Not that difficult.
Quest 6: “Let It Snow!” You can find the Snatchin in the Snow by banishing Snatchin Guardians and Snatchin Knight in the Yard.
Quest 7: “Some Like It Hotter.” Find hot drinks (Hot Chocolate, Grog, and Rum Punch) by exploring any rooms in the Manor. Again, check findable items before exploring a room.
Quest 8: “Winter Queen.” Find the Snow Maiden in the Dressing Room and a Holly Branch which can be found in any room of the Manor.
Quest 9: “Cold Meeting.” The quest says “ice cream is the only thin the Snow Queens panserbjome eat and we should ask them for help?” Translation: banish the bears in the yard to find a Cone, Waffle Cup, and Ice Cream Pop. Look at findable items before banishing the bears. Hope you have some glacial swords! And ice creams can also be found by banishing Uncle Scrooge and toy master!
NOTE: Do not do what I did – panic and spend 25 diamonds of a Snow Queen chest to get more glacial swords. It is much cheaper to just go to the collection and purchase each item to solve the quest.
Quest 10: “Endangered Holiday.” Explore the Hall to complete the quest.
Quest 11: “Start the Investigation.” Explore the Ice Hotel in the Yard 3 times to complete this quest. You will have to enter the battle to get in
Quest 12: “Like Snow on Your Head.” Explore the rooms in the yard to collect and charge the Christmas Keepers collection. You will already have 3 of the collection items, the ghosts you collected earlier in the Fortune Telling room. You can find Cricket behind the Chimney in the Animatorium (which took several explorations) and Time Guardian in the Crypt.
Quest 13: “Picked Up and Warm.” The quest says to find the Tea with Raspberries and 3 Candy Canes by exploring any room while the Will-o’-the-Wisp phenomenon is present. I did have to summon a the phenomenon to find the Tea with Raspberries (found it on the first try); however, Candy Canes are dropping from rooms with no phenomena present.
Quest 14: “Rear Worker.” Find the Hunter’s Ring and the Silver Shuriken by banishing Ear Twistin’ Snatchins and Snow Doll Snatchins.
Quest 15: “Home Alone.” Explore the Ice Citadel in the Yard in Night mode. Yes, you need to go into yet another boss fight.
Quest 16: “Eagle Eye.” Explore any 5 rooms in Silhouettes mode and any 5 rooms in Words mode. I did all my explorations in the Mystical Living Room because various phenomena had taken over all my other rooms.
Quest 17: “A Glass Ball, or Keys to a Secret.” Collect 20 Drosselmeyer’s Keys by exploring the rooms of the manor in curse mode (or you can buy a chest for 25 diamonds to get the keys.)
Quest 18: “Nice to Meet You.” You must “feed the Polar Bear” to finish this quest. Translation: enter the battle in the Snow Globe using the Drosselmeyer Keys you just collected. (There will be a section on the battle later on in this document.)
Quest 19: “Metamorphoses.” Explore the Snow Globe 3 times to complete the quest.
Quest 20: “Letter in an Envelope.” Trade with the Toy Master to find 5 Letters to Drosselmeyer. The Toy Master should be roaming about the first floor of your Manor. If you don’t see him, banish another creature and he will appear.
Quest 21: “Little Elsa’s Dream.” Trade with Uncle Scrooge to find an Antique Doll. I got lucky and got it the first time! (Uncle Scrooge appears on the first floor.)
Quest 22: “A Little Train that Could…” The train can be found by exploring the Snow Globe.
Quest 23: “A Tale of Hard Nuts.” Find the Nutcracker by banishing Snatchin Guardsmen in the Yard.
Quest 24: “Mechanical Horse.” Explore the Cuddy in the Basement to find the Iron Horse. It took me 7 tries to find the Iron Horse and used up all of my Keronsene Lamps needed to enter the Cuddy.
Quest 25: “Mister…Y” Trade with the Toy Master to find the Magic Dollhouse. I found it on the second try.
Quest 26: “Feed the Polar Bear.” Yep, enter the battle to open the Snow Globe again!
This is as far as I have gotten, friends! Will be updating as I make progress and as all of you great players post info.
