Post  Martino Fri Jan 10, 2014 8:52 am

There's a new update, but apart from new collections i didn't found new quests, boss or room...

Update; update is working now (since 10 January later in the day)

Question; where can I get the two characters from the 'Christmas keepers' collection (coll. 272 to get Uncle Scrooge ); time guardian and the cricket? The quest says in the yard, but has anyone seen them in a specific room yet?

I am copying and pasting the below for the benefit of MMUFF players. The information is from the below website. Thank you Julie

    http://mmipadfunpage.com/the-rooms/the-snow-globe-not-that-simple-of-a-souvenir-d/

We have 60 days to collect 5 sets of 5 collections (current collection numbers are 271 – 276) in order to receive the reward, a Christmas Chest, which contains charms, festive food, and champagne.  Let’s begin with the quests…

    THE QUESTS

Quest 1:  “Jolly Old Knight.”  Explore the rooms of the manor to collect and charge the Winter Magician collection.  The items for this collection are scattered all around the manor.  Look at the findable items for a room to see if any of the collection items are included.  This quest was not that difficult to complete.  However, you will need items to charge the collection so I recommend that you start requesting them from your friends immediately!  Go to the Winter Magician collection (currently number 275) and click on the box underneath the “charge” button to start requesting items.

Quest 2:  “Ghageen and Friends.”  You need to find a Jolly Alien (drops from the Octopus) and the Christmas Robot (drops from the Vacuum Robot).

Quest 3:  “On New Year’s Eve…”  Charge the Ice Runes collection by exploring rooms in Words mode.  I had all but one of the collection items and traded with a friend for the Rune of Silence.  However, thanks to our friend Karen, we have info on where to find these items:

    Purity – African room
    Flow – Bathroom
    Time – Living room
    Rest – Japanese room
    Silence – Library
Quest 4:  “The Gifts Are Received.”  Find these three ghosts (Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet to Come) by exploring the Fortune Telling Room.  It took me many explorations to find them all.

Quest 5:  “Do Cats Dream of Costumes?”  Look for Stylish Voldemort in the Hallway.  Not that difficult.

Quest 6:  “Let It Snow!”  You can find the Snatchin in the Snow by banishing Snatchin Guardians and Snatchin Knight in the Yard.

Quest 7:  “Some Like It Hotter.”  Find hot drinks (Hot Chocolate, Grog, and Rum Punch) by exploring any rooms in the Manor.  Again, check findable items before exploring a room.

Quest 8:  “Winter Queen.”  Find the Snow Maiden in the Dressing Room and a Holly Branch which can be found in any room of the Manor.

Quest 9:  “Cold Meeting.”  The quest says “ice cream is the only thin the Snow Queens panserbjome eat and we should ask them for help?”  Translation:  banish the bears in the yard to find a Cone, Waffle Cup, and Ice Cream Pop.  Look at findable items before banishing the bears.  Hope you have some glacial swords! And ice creams can also be found by banishing Uncle Scrooge and toy master!

NOTE:  Do not do what I did –  panic and spend 25 diamonds of a Snow Queen chest to get more glacial swords.  It is much cheaper to just go to the collection and purchase each item to solve the quest.

Quest 10:  “Endangered Holiday.”  Explore the Hall to complete the quest.

Quest 11:  “Start the Investigation.”  Explore the Ice Hotel in the Yard 3 times to complete this quest.  You will have to enter the battle to get in Sad

Quest 12:  “Like Snow on Your Head.”  Explore the rooms in the yard to collect and charge the Christmas Keepers collection.  You will already have 3 of the collection items, the ghosts you collected earlier in the Fortune Telling room.  You can find Cricket behind the Chimney in the Animatorium (which took several explorations) and Time Guardian in the Crypt.

Quest 13:  “Picked Up and Warm.”  The quest says to find the Tea with Raspberries and 3 Candy Canes by exploring any room while the Will-o’-the-Wisp phenomenon is present.  I did have to summon a the phenomenon to find the Tea with Raspberries (found it on the first try); however, Candy Canes are dropping from rooms with no phenomena present.

Quest 14:  “Rear Worker.”  Find the Hunter’s Ring and the Silver Shuriken by banishing Ear Twistin’ Snatchins and Snow Doll Snatchins.

Quest 15:  “Home Alone.”  Explore the Ice Citadel in the Yard in Night mode.  Yes, you need to go into yet another boss fight.

Quest 16:  “Eagle Eye.”  Explore any 5 rooms in Silhouettes mode and any 5 rooms in Words mode.  I did all my explorations in the Mystical Living Room because various phenomena had taken over all my other rooms.

Quest 17:  “A Glass Ball, or Keys to a Secret.”  Collect 20 Drosselmeyer’s Keys by exploring the rooms of the manor in curse mode (or you can buy a chest for 25 diamonds to get the keys.)

Quest 18:  “Nice to Meet You.”  You must “feed the Polar Bear”  to finish this quest.  Translation:  enter the battle in the Snow Globe using the Drosselmeyer Keys you just collected.  (There will be a section on the battle later on in this document.)

Quest 19:  “Metamorphoses.”  Explore the Snow Globe 3 times to complete the quest.

Quest 20:  “Letter in an Envelope.”  Trade with the Toy Master to find 5 Letters to Drosselmeyer.  The Toy Master should be roaming about the first floor of your Manor.  If you don’t see him, banish another creature and he will appear.

Quest 21:  “Little Elsa’s Dream.”  Trade with Uncle Scrooge to find an Antique Doll.  I got lucky and got it the first time!  (Uncle Scrooge appears on the first floor.)

Quest 22:  “A Little Train that Could…”  The train can be found by exploring the Snow Globe.

Quest 23:  “A Tale of Hard Nuts.”  Find the Nutcracker by banishing Snatchin Guardsmen in the Yard.

Quest 24:  “Mechanical Horse.”  Explore the Cuddy in the Basement to find the Iron Horse.  It took me 7 tries to find the Iron Horse and used up all of my Keronsene Lamps needed to enter the Cuddy.

Quest 25:  “Mister…Y”  Trade with the Toy Master to find the Magic Dollhouse.  I found it on the second try.

Quest 26:  “Feed the Polar Bear.”  Yep, enter the battle to open the Snow Globe again!

This is as far as I have gotten, friends!  Will be updating as I make progress and as all of you great players post info.

BATTLE TO ENTER THE SNOW GLOBE

24,000 total damage is needed to “wind up” the Snow Globe so you can enter
    Each player get 48 hits.
    Battle lasts 18 hours.
The weapons necessary are contained in collections 276 and 277.  You can obtain these items by trading with the Toy Master and Uncle Scrooge.  In addition, some weapons can be purchased with gold and others with diamonds.

It comes from the reward u receive after feeding the bear. It's just a bag or a stocking depending on your rank, instead of a chest.

Time guardian is in the crypt and if I remember correctly the cricket is in the animatorium. The bear and guy-yet to come are in the vamp castle and the ice castle if u want seconds of them. I never found the first guy in the collection, so didn't get a 2nd of that one.

    Here are additional quests:

Quest 27:  "Icy Wreath."  Find the blizzard tiara and chilled diadem in the citadel.  The diadem shows in the findable list, but the tiara is a chest item.  I asked for friends help...try to trade or send it to a friend for them to return.  Getting the tiara will be very tough unless you get lucky.

Quest 28:  "A Heavenly Dinner."  3 parts...find goose w/apples in rooms with the mist.  Find candles in rooms with will-o-wisp...it's a charger so just request it.  Charge the warm drinks collection.  Tip:  items in this collection can be purchased with coins, when you charge it you get 5 ice cream cakes...these are worth 1000 pts when feeding the bear!  Woohoo!

Quest 29:  "Snowy Distance."  Again 3 parts...find the horse drawn sleigh by bashing old gypsies.  Find the sled by bashing gypsy man.  Find the coachman in rooms with zero gravity curse.  Or you can trade with elves if you have saved snowflakes.  I opened 4-5 bags and got it.

Quest 30:  "Colorful Parade of Masks."  You guessed it...3 parts!  Find musical record in the elevator.  Find the gramophone in the library.  Explore rooms of the manor to collect and charge the golden age collection.  If you already have the items you can just charge.

Quest 31:  "Hunt for Snowdrops."  Find 5 snowdrops (white flower from artefacts collections) in 1st floor rooms when in word mode...they do show in findable list and not all word mode rooms have the flower.  I found all mine in the African room...it was the only phenom free room I had so I didn't try other rooms, wanted to keep the phenoms just in case Wink

Quest 32: "Careless Words." Find the queens comb in the snow globe in night mode. I got super lucky and got the comb in my reward sack, so didn't have to search!

And that folks is the end of the snow globe quest thread  cheers

Quest 27 doesn't list the tiara in the findable items but it does drop when searching the ice citadel, you don't have to get lucky with the chest for that boss.

Only problem now is the holly branches do not drop from the mystical chests in order to search the snow globe so not sure how you're supposed to complete the event.

Unless GI expects us to search at least 50 rooms to get enough candy cane (best case scenario) to banish 50 uncle Scrooges in the hope they all just drop holly branches (which usually it takes at least a dozen tries to get one) to search the room at expert level once.

Even if I bought 50 diamond event chests that gave me 200 holly branches I'd need to spend probably close to 1000 diamonds to complete the event.

    Pointless.

If you're already done with quest 27 the only quest requiring a snow globe search is the last one.  I completed all the quests and I assure you I did not buy 50 chests or spend 1000 diamonds.  If you only search the globe when needed you can complete the quests and be only level 2.  It only costs 10 holly to search in the beginning and 20 for second level.  The food to feed the bear is easy to get.  So a couple of times I "battled" the bear got 50 holly and used those to search.  If you already have the globe open, you can close it and battle again for 2 diamonds...so the way I see it, you get 50 holly for 2 diamonds.  You will need keys to open the globe and I did buy a few chests with saved diamonds.

Don't get me wrong, not a GI fan...I hate that they make the rooms so expensive to get into and search, I just don't want anyone to get discouraged.  You can complete the left hand quests without getting to expert level and without spending a fortune.  The right hand quest for the chest will be more difficult and require expert level, but there are plenty of collections that give charms and energy, so just charge some collections and forget the chest Wink

Update; update is working now (since 10 January later in the day)

Question; where can I get the two characters from the 'Christmas keepers' collection (coll. 272 to get Uncle Scrooge ); time guardian and the cricket? The quest says in the yard, but has anyone seen them in a specific room yet?

Time guardian is in the crypt and if I remember correctly the cricket is in the animatorium.  The bear and guy-yet to come are in the vamp castle and the ice castle if u want seconds of them.  I never found the first guy in the collection, so didn't get a 2nd of that one.

The first one, the Ghost of Christmas Past, can be found in Club 69.

So I bothered going for the event. Cost me around 200 diamonds in order to get enough keys to enter the snow globe enough times. Each entry into the snow globe gave 50 hollys to search the room and the chest drop gave 3 or 4 collection items so it was doable especially as the items to feed the bear dropped well from uncle scrooge and toy master.

The event chest itself, what an utterly pointless waste of time, basically gave the same thing as defeated a boss does plus a bottle of champagne. Only worthwhile thing in the whole process is that the collections are worth the effort charging for the drops.
