No server response

Same message here.... Bummer is I had one of my zombie reward charms going and today was the last day....AND I found ninjas to banish this morning......aargh.

Well, I've gotten lots of stuff organized in the house today...weeded my bookcase, mowed, kitchen, bills.......boo, I want my MM fix!

Argh, I was going to do my friend visits. So much for that. It sounds like it's going to be down for a couple days? I'm going to go through withdrawal....

I just got home and I have no server response too. They probably crashed the server or have no clue....what a thought "They have no clue". I checked my wall at about 11:30 central time and was able to get in then.

WAT. They're "replacing hardware" and will be down for a couple of days?! Sounds to me like somebody's server died and they're scrambling to configure a new one... the middle of the afternoon on a Monday with no warning what-so-ever is NOT what I'd call a typical "planned outage". Usually if you know about it in advance you'd have the new hardware configured before you turn the old stuff off so the "outage" is limited to a couple of minutes maybe. But then, these guys don't seem to follow any kind of IT standards, not that I know of anyway! GI sucks big hairy manor monsters.

I don't even have any monsters in my manor that I can do anything with. Wonder if they're trying to see if we'll all give in and buy diamonds?

My theory.

It was scheduled. The post they will be " indisposed for a couple days" was there yesterday before the No server response. Also Moscow time was 12am when the server went down. A normal time for the updating.

They -GI- have been gathering intel...lol...they could use all they can get....and this is most likely a MAJOR update not only with a server but many glitches will most likely be resolved.

Interestingly the server change I would think should effect all GI games and the game Enchanted Realm loads everything just fine. Hmmmm...

I came home from work all ready to start playing as well. Sit down, turn it on and get "no server" message. My first thought was "oh crap" I just updated my name last night to Deborah UFF & now "they" have banned me like Gibby.

So I logged on here & what a relief to know its not just me.

Next thought was "really? I'm going to be upset because I can't play a game that monopolizes too much of my time already"? But I'm glad too know its not just me. LOL

Anyway let me take this opportunity to thank the developers of this forum. It's been very helpful in figuring out how to play this game & what a friendly bunch of people!!

If you are referring to the post on MM iPad fun page about being indisposed, I'm pretty sure that's just the owner of that page is not going to be around for a few days. She is not part of Game Insight.

I don't doubt that the changeover was planned though, for a less inconvenient time in Russia.

This takes you to the MM support page. I typed "no server response" into the search field and on the last item, first page is a statement "Our server is moving!" - this is where the message was posted.

Let's hope for not TOO many bug fixes. I'm pretty happy about gifting and charm layering bugs.

I have also been getting the no server response message for several hours. How can they just decide to prevent us from playing their game.
So I guess we Jsut wait until the game GODS decide to let us back in. So very mean.

I am going to be optimistic and say this is the perfect time for an infinite energy run. I don't have to worry about all the strength I am waisting when I level up since I can't visit any of my friends. The social aspects of this game are fantastic but it is fun to be a little selfish sometimes.

They can't fix gifting bug coz it's our personal wifi that dictates it. They can make the game server real fast but if you download a 3-hour movie on your laptop and run an online radio on your PC, bandwidth gets eaten up and wifi will slow down! Lol!

Or you can slow your net to your ipad with QOS.

Well, something doesn't make sense about their post, starting with the fact that you can't tell when it was posted and people have been getting the "server no response" thing sporadically for a long time. That could be their canned response to that message and not particularly related to this outage.

If the other GI games are working then they've either cut access to MM specifically for a reason, or MM was on a different server that's getting upgraded or went down. Upgrades are usually planned, communicated, and implemented much better and faster. Of course I'm speaking as a sys admin from a Stateside IT shop. I guess in Soviet Russia, servers upgrade YOU.

I think Russian servers drink vodka! Final answer! And just so you know, my heart charm is running for seven days, may get an hour out of it! Charms, blew a few! Think I need a vacation! I hope the game is up and running soon, but if I were you I would screen shot my room!!

I heard that people were getting warned for receiving too many thank you gifts (showing gifts given) Anyone have a screen shot of the warning? Could fixing it so no cancel feature existed be the reason for this outage? How many gifts is too many? At least im practicing altruism. I also practice goodmanners because i've written more thank you notes on this game than during my whole childhood combined! LOL I'm on pirates quest, and without friends, collecting 45 of each item would take forever.
