Game unavailable?

thank god for small mercies, that was driving me nuts, still downloading.

It's probably been said before, but I find it interesting that they took the game down this way rather than releasing an update like all the other times. I'm sure this was their way of forcing everyone who didn't update yet and therefore still able to take advantage of all old glitches to now not be able to play unless they update.

absolutely spot on. they said on FB if people didn't update they would no longer be able to play. has anyone see the joke of a Q&A, complete mockery

Sitting here waiting and wondering...

Does anyone know how long the update takes to load? I' going on 25 minutes and is less than half done.

Did anyone who updated get the "generous compensation" mentioned in GI announcement? What did you get?

Update took 40 minutes to load (iPad2)

Got the usual 500 coins.

Not certain, but looks like wall multi is gone GI makes baby pandas cry...

Ya think they would have saved one measly glitch for us. And it was such a small sacrifice on their part. And lots of hard work for us! What with the crashes it caused. But I suppose for some peeps it just wasn't worth it, I will miss it though. ;(

My game never went black. I played till the update came out and then updated. I Had no downtime at all!
Except of course the amount of time it takes to update

Took about an hour.... But received 50 diamonds

I have to admit the 50 diamonds were pretty nice to see

I had to update or else I couldn't start game; GI forcing everyone to update. Took me less than 5 minutes to update. Everything is there including gifts I didn't take yet. Gifting is much faster--takes 2 secs. now. Think I'm still getting multiple gifts unless they were from before update.

What diamonds? I didn't get any at all. I have the same as before update.

I had a message after i updated that said thanks for your patience here's 50 diamonds or something to that effect.

No message here. It took me less than 5 minutes to update though. Or maybe I didn't get any because they thought I had enough?

I figured everyone would get them. I had like 96 before update. Was thinking it was a way to make up for taking away friends codes, which i didnt check...was it returned?

Another friend said they couldn't visit me. So Maybe I need to exit and then comeback in?

That seems to happen a lot, couldnt hurt to try. And still no service code, which really disappoints me.

I received the 50 diamonds either on my second or third visit to MM (I've been jumping between a number of apps)

You can get another 5 diamonds if you sign up to GI (I used my fake MM FB account).

Looks like I had to exit the game and come back in to get the 50 diamonds. I loaded the update 1st as I couldn't even open the game let alone play. The services tab is still blank. They fixed the gifting screen so you can tap on a picture to send thank you (before you had to tap on "thank"). No more "Thank" for mystery gifts too (thank god); they just go away now.

Looks like i'm still getting more than 1 gift, but not more than 2. Looks like GI limited that too. Will know more in the next few days.

Come on Ycul, think positive..... this is GI we are talking about!! When one door closes, their sloppy software writing always ensures another one opens

So can anyone confirm that there is zero multi gifting from wall requests? Or is it as I think Gemfinder (who does come out with some accurate points....but BOY do I get distracted from what they are saying by that picture *lewd wolf whistle*) suggested, in that it could just be their servers are super sharp because not everyone is playing yet?

I always found in the evenings when the servers are busier, I could get loads of wall requests sent, but in the mornings only one or two.

Seriously, I noticed last night as more and more updated that an increased number of wall request gifts could be sent/ received so it looks like it is due to lack of users artificially "improving" server performance.

Also, many of us were surprised that GI took down the game on a Saturday which we assumed would be a very busy time? Perhaps though, it isn't which would explain the outage timing and also why they do their diamond promotions starting on a friday night (Moscow time).

Perhaps they aren't as daft as we would like to believe?!!

I now know what's going on when I talk to blokes and they are nodding dumbly and their eyes keep swooping down to my boobs haha!!

Okay, being serious, so we can still spam the wall requests. That's good. And actually they know what they are doing precisely, my wall requests on Friday evening and Saturdays (uk time) are easily half of any other day of the week.

Never noticed that their promos start Friday evenings before, no idea why that would be.

You mean you girls actually notice when we do that?

If you are with BT, something happens at 6pm on a Sunday to make their service run very slowly and in the old days of MGing, you could then believe you were related to Santa Claus!
