HomeI am at level 18 and recently there is a really annoying background sound that sounds like huffing or an old steam train. Does anyone know how to get this to stop? Do I need to banish something? I know I can turn off sounds but then it also silences sounds I find helpful like when you click on things. Thanks in advance for your help!

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do to stop the sound other than turning all the sounds off. It's part of the normal background sounds. You'll probably get used to it and just tune it out after awhile.

If you close the game and restart, it goes away.

Thank you both for the info. I have closed out of the game and reopened numerous times and it is still there. Now 
it is more of a crunching sound and it gives me a headache, making it hard to concentrate.

Maybe you can find a compromise by turning the sound down so it won't be too disruptive, but won't be completely gone either. Other than that, I don't think there's much that can be done.

I had the huffing noise and a force restart of the game made it go away. It came back twice. Restart fixed it both times. Have you restarted your iPad to see if that helps?
