    "Please rephrase you message"

Post  truperduper on Sat Feb 21, 2015 3:55 pm

I have just started playing a again after a long absence.
Today on 2 separate occasions I have received " please rephrase your message" when posting thank you's the another time when saying no to a fight. What is the deal? What I was saying in no way could be considered offensive or anything. Has this happened to anyone else?

There are certain catch words that are not offensive but may apply to something that GI does not allow. It is stupid, but they were trying to stop people from saying friend code and other stuff.

Yes, I have gotten that message before. I was also trying to thank a friend for something. It's been awhile ago now so I can't remember exactly what I said but it was very benign also, nothing at all questionable. I guess it must be the language barriers that cause the problems.

I'm pretty sure that cussing is not allowed. Friend codes have never been allowed for some dumb reason. Which is absolutely ridiculous in my humble opinion.

If u want to say something, like "this DAMN game is frustrating", put a period in between one of the letters in the offensive word and it should go.
I thought they did it because people were saying really offensive things, but some other ideas have been posted here which are interesting.

Oh, I wasn't cussing on any way any of the times I've gotten the please rephrase message. I was just saying something completely fine but I guess it gets lost in translation. I did not know they would not let you chare codes though. Oh, well post it here if you want me to pass it on. I am not sure if she still looks at this site...it a shame no one checks in here anymore.
