I've been getting them from searching rooms. Not a big drop percent but I've gotten some.

I'm getting fewer and fewer. Any tips on getting them to drop?

I would like to know, too. Now that I have the pirate ship built and have been exploring it, the doubloons no longer drop, not even with a turtle running.

They are dropping but not as frequently. If I do get one I then have to search for a Blackbeard, he is becoming a recluse as well!

There are actually plenty of Blackbeards among my friends (I've made a list of who has him), but it sure would be nice to have a doubloon to trade with him. They still aren't dropping.

I have also noticed that if you banish a number of characters in a manor other than your own, any snatchins, ninjas, gypsies, etc that sometimes Blackbeard pops up as a new character after a couple of banishes.
