We've had this happen to us many a time...you can just wait it out...really, just set the ipad down, go do something and I swear it has eventually moved past it and loaded naturally. sometimes it take a while...i assume its a server issue.

Restarting did not work. It has been this way for about 24 hours. It really sucks, I am on like level 121 and hate to have to start all over. Arghhhhhhh...

where are you at with this issue? did you try a full restart? back up to the cloud and reinstalled? if u save/backup the app into itunes and reinstall onto ipad - it should save your cache files and keep your info..level...etc...it would just be like reinstalling the update.

I did full restart. However, I am truly afraid to uninstall. I was waiting for email response from MM which I have not received.

Actually no. I haven't had the iPad long and really do not use it for that much so I have not purchased the extra cloud storage but I guess I will have to now.

Can I perform a selective backup and just do mm?

well yeah, you can select the programs you want to save...kinda like how you can select the option to manually click what you want to sync with your ipod...worst case scenario would be you're saving a copy of what you already have to your computer in itunes...and then resaving that copy onto your ipad...and nothing will change...but hopefully..it will fix the glitch. you could even download the game into itunes and then backup over it and hopefully that might sort out your program error in the writing over process...

If you are doing a full restore, I would definitely back everything up. It's just so much safer this way.

Most people have had no problem restoring from backup, however, a few people I know have lost their account permanently. Backup, backup, backup.

So after about 16 days of being down, the game finally started bac working. I got to play for a few days and then BAM..it did the same thing again. Go figure.

At this point, perhaps you should try to uninstall and reinstall. But remember - do a FULL backup through iTunes!
