Game names vs user names - MMUFF

I have an idea that could make all of our game play more fluid between the forum and the game...

While in-game I always try to treat the people I know from this forum with preference. Since we can come here and trade game strategy, put out APBs for needed items and such, etc etc, I think it's nice to do.

My problem is that since a lot of people use different user names for the forums than they do in the game, I don't always recognize them. I don't even always recognize those that have the same name I admit it!

I would like to pare my friends list down to people from this forum but that's going to be ultra time consuming to look them all up. I thought, maybe people would be game to changing their in-game name to add UFF at the end? Like I'd become SOOZICLE UFF. I don't know of another Soozicle in the game, but for people with more common or more difficult to remember names, it would be very helpful to be able to pick them out at least until I get my game narrowed down to active MMUFF members only.

Just think, if we all did that, and several of us pared our lists down to MMUFF members only, we could probably find a way to use the forums to help us weed out players that have since stopped playing, too! Maybe have a different forum for player status where we could post if we're going to be away for a while or are giving up and deleting the game?

Hi, soozicle! I think that's a great idea, I've been trying to figure out a way to weed down my friends list and this just might be the way. I know a lot of my friends on MM are members of MMUFF (including you :-) I would be game to trying your idea!

Oh thank goodness. I would've felt horrible. I got your gifts, but if you don't mind I really need to go to bed right now... had to get up extra early for jury duty and have to get up for work in the morning. Make sure you have everything you need on your WL and I'll do everything I can to get you as much of those that I can first thing!

Okay Brescot, I added you! I went to gift you but only had one thing on your wish list. A good rule of thumb to live by is to always have at least one charging item on there... you're always going to end up needing them and they're great for multigifting!

Saw you, added you... but not because I saw this note first, because I saw the UFF on your name! And I saw that someone else posted to your wall that they added you because of the UFF! IT WORKS!

LMAO I just went to see if you had added UFF to your name. I knew it would be easy to find you because when I added you, you ended up at the very tip top of my visiting list. Concatulations, because when I visited you, one of my three new kittens decided he would tip you himself! You can thank the blonde tabby we named "Critter" (family pet name that goes back 75 years) for that! LOL

I really like this "UFF" idea!! I added it to my name too!

I love the vagaries of words and languages across Countries and Continents and all I will say is the "muff" can have a different meaning over here in England which is why I always smile when I log on to this Site.

Trying to help Dazza but the servers/ internet are like greased lightning today. Last night I thought I'd mastered the dark arts but today I'm as clumsy as an inexperienced teenager.
