Help... Can't get mercury to drop

Can't get mercury to drop... Used trick to keep idol in hallway after waiting 4 days for him to appear..

Explored 20+ times with turtle and cornucopia running and nothing


Any tips I'm pulling my hair out

Mercury is tricky. It does not show on the list of items received after you explore the room but rather shows up while you are receiving your items. Thus, it does not help to keep the idol in the room. The ripest way to complete the quest is to have someone loan it to you. In the latest version, Mercury can be gifted. Get a friend to send it to you, clear the quest, and send it right back.

I'm updated ... How do I get someone to gift it of it isn't in my collections and cannot be added to wishlist ?!?!

Ok I see if I go to gift collection items the pearl is there... I am scared to complete the quest this way though... What if they have something we need it for later and I don't find it on my own and give it back... ;-/. I'm conflicted

Eric's I tried for three months to get it, just get a friend to gift it and return it! You won't need it again, I've lent mine to dozens of people!

Exploring 20 times is nothing. Really. With Neptune, it took some people 5-8 weeks. You have a long way to go before you should hit hair pulling out stage.

As someone said, you might have already gotten it because it doesn't show up in the received items list. That's why keeping the Idol doesn't work.

Hate to tell u this but the mercury dropped in the second room I had a idol in-just had a turtle running. The quest is do-able.
