I haven't taken any room to the end of Expert level yet. I was under the impression that you cannot get beyond Expert level - that is, you'll hit 100% at Expert level and it stops there.

There are no levels higher than 'Expert' level. Once you're at 'Expert' level, you're free to level the room up to 100% in that level, but you don't get any new items listed in the room list once you achieve 100% in 'Expert'.
I have at least 2 rooms that met the highest level with 100% (Living Room + Kitchen).
