I cracked it lol, i put my update message as my picture, well its my friends update message picture that she sent me as i updated before i could take a picture and then realised i did not recieve the diamonds.

You don't get diamonds for upgrading the app. What it says is the upgraded app will have a new event each weekend that offers the opportunity to win free diamonds. Since today is Thursday, the first event hasn't started yet.

You have proof there that this is in their contract with you for the game. If I were you id send it over to apple support and see what they say, they'd be in breach of contract with you if they don't give them. Not everyone got this screen, I've not seen any of my USA friends have that one. Mine definitely did in uk but I just assumed they'd done their usual cope and paste job from last week, the notes on the app on app store even referred to zodiac mode under the gameplay points it tells you about and we certainly don't have that on iPad?
