Sometimes they drop 5 pieces from room searches.

You can also find them in the new mystical chests and by charging one of the new rooms collections.

I usually buy them from the snatchin merchant. You get 300 for 99 cents. He pops up after u try to open the room a few times. Cheaper than diamonds really.

That's great! I didn't realise the snatchin merchant popped up for Zodiac too - thanks!

Zodiac Shatters
The best way to get the shatters is to banish the gypsies in friends manor. Run a turtle and you will get the items to replish the horseshoes to continue to banish them. What I do is when I visit my friends daily I banish every gypsy, boy and girl gypsies to keep my total up. You really don't need to buy shatters. I know it is only .99c, but adds up. If you are trying to complete the quests then propose trades with friends to get the items and keep in gift wall until you need them. Also, if you have the item, but need a new one ask a friend if you can send to them and return. Don't use your hard earned money for this quest. Save your diamonds for the bigger quests.
Plus, it always good to have quest available to complete. When you are like me and have very little quest remaining it is hard to get motivated to continue to play...but I am addicted like most of you as well.

Good advice - I do tend to get a bit impatient, and I've learnt the one most important thing needed for this game is - patience!
I am level 70 now, at the stage when I have many concurrent quests (Anniversary, UFO, Pirate, Crypt, Full Moon) and it seems that in many sessions of play I haven't made progress in any of them! I already know to ping-pong things, and get friends to help. The trouble is, I have only a pool of about 70 friends because I can't manage to visit more than that number within a week, so it takes longer to gather chargers, gifts, items etc.
Guess I just have to take the game at my own pace....

Forget all the other gypsies and focus ONLY on banishing gypsy men.
They give 5 shatters and silver horseshoes are the easiest to have.
Of course always use a turtle when you trade with gypsy men.
