Any ideas about where to find this book? I have searched the library a ton at expert level, with and without turtle. Help! I am on the quest to find five books of Merlin.

Book of necromancy can be found in the fortune-telling room on expert mode, through trading with friends or check all of your rooms possible drops. When I had that quest, all of my rooms were able to drop different books so maybe one or more will have that one for you to try. Good luck

I agree - that quest is pretty difficult. I started out with 1, ended up getting another one from searching, and I traded for 3 with friends.

Is it in the fortune telling room too? I'm pretty sure I got 3 or 4 of them from the Library on Expert before I even got that quest.
