Map of Africa (Mbongo's Clue)

A quest requires me to find the Map of Africa and a note is given from Mbongo that reads the following:

"Follow the path as traced by the stars to the place where the future is inscribed on the stones in the language of the giants from the North, known only to those who had once built the pyramids, but now rove aimlessly and without fatigue."

Any idea? Does it mean exploring the Fortune-Telling Room? Thanks in advance.

Maybe the library? Did you scroll through the findable items for each room?

Found in the African Room!

Yes, I did scroll through the findable items list.
I also saw it in the items list in the African Room, that looks like somewhat a default setting and I'm just not sure if this quest will make a difference.

I have the same quest and I've tried searching the fortune telling room several times and not found anything. I've also searched the African room a bunch of times and not gotten anything. I thought this item would drop a lot quicker than it has! I know it's in the African rooms findable items list, but the clue does sound an awful lot like the fortune telling room. Times like this I'm not sure whether game insights lack of English skills are at play or not...

If I am not mistaken, it is the African Room with UFO phenomenon in it.

It's been about 2 weeks since I completed that quest though, so I don't recall 100%.

That could be, but the clue still points to the fortune telling room. I wish that things like that we're more clear so it was less frustrating.

Thanks for all your advice. I finally found it in the African room too. (Forgotten if there is a phenomenon with it or not...)

You will need another one for another quest. I'm still working on that one.

Just found another one. African Room, Mist phenomenon.

I believe this clue for the pottery flask if I'm not mistaken as that's how I found it twice. As per the clue you search the fortune telling room then you follow it by searching the African room. You get the flask!!!

Any other ideas for the map of Africa. I've had this quest for a couple weeks and can't find it. I'm at 40% expert level in the Africa room. I haven't had a phenomenon in the room since I got the quest. Any other suggestions? It is driving me crazy!

I always get them with Turtle of Luck searching African Room.

Well, that was interesting. I found the Map of Africa in the African Room, of course, but there was no phenomenon in it, in fact there hadn't been one for quite some time. Maybe the game took pity on me because I'd had the quest for so long.

i'm stuck in this quest for ages, doing nothing but searching the african room

You will get it. Use a Turtle of Luck to increase your chances. I am 100% certain it drops in the African Room at Expert Level, and even before if you have this quest.

I wouldn't rely on that. I am at 100 % expert level since quite some time and never found a map, not even with the turtle.

I read the riddle and found it first time in room 51.

Now, if I could only find the pottery. I have searched all the rooms with the exception of the Oceanic and the Laboratory because I have not been able to open them yet..

Ok, so the way it is supposed to be done is you search the fortune teller room and then immediately search the african room. Found it the first time trying that.

Searched fortune, then African, nothing. Started a turtle, went back to fortune and it dropped.

I just wanted to add my Two cents. Once I got the quest I went to the Hunter room and went back immediately to the African room the flask was in the "findable" list. I did not see it in any of the other room list, still it took me over two dozen tries with a Turtle. It may also have something to do with experience levels because I only got it after I reached 40% expert. Good luck all!
