Vanquisher of monsters charm

Can someone please tell me what the Vanquisher of monsters charm is and whether it is worth charging so many collections and using up hundreds (thousands?)of branches and bullets for.

I still Have 8 days to go and I am wondering if it is worth it. I have most of the collection items but need so many charging items.

Yeah, I am feeling sort of bummed that I have spent so much time on this and probably will fail because I won't be able to find enough charging items. I have a lot of friends and a significant number of 99+ level friends, but even asking them for the max gifts daily, I think I'll be well short.

I am bored of it. Not bothering anymore.

Aiming for levelling up more.

Forgive my ignorant question but I don't have access to my game at the moment:

Is this the reward for charging the 5 zombie collections or is this tied into the other monster quest?

If it's to the latter one, I know nothing about it because all I have is the icon on the right side of the screen. Do you need to be at a certain level to access it? Can someone please explain what you are supposed to do in the quest, and did anyone have the same problem I did?

Hi Jae, the zombie collection reward is a diploma -- specifically, 1 out of 15 diplomas. You'll need all 15 and a ton of flaming skulls to get the 3 Van Helsing statues. And those 3 Van Helsings are what you charge to get the reward.

Yes, it takes a lot of time and effort, and the reward isn't worth both. But it was a neat pasttime for the past week, and gave MM players something to do, especially those who were bored with having no quests left!

Do not spend time on it, you better us turtles than getting this charm. First of all, many friends will not be able to complete and they efforts will be waste and even if they achieve, it is not worth time they spent on it. I got all that and charged, I lost all collectible and what I got 30% increase in finding for 7 days, it was absolutely rubbish.

Thank you piano fingers and sunnyind for your very helpful explanation and feedback. I received the first diploma but know I'll never be able to complete the quest in the allotted time so I've taken a step back from it. And now I understand why the flaming skull and aspen branch were so popular!

I think it was just a big scam so that this weekend people will panic and start buying the chargers they need to finish the event.

Given the large number of collections that had to be charged and the insanely high number of charging items required to charge each collection, I expected a bit more of a reward especially with all the patience players had to show with all the game problems.

The reward doesn't seem like it is worth all the effort. I caved and put the last three diplomas on my wish list to complete the diamond van Helsing. When I recieved my charm I ended up with two of them (I clicked on the button only once though).

Putting the diplomas on your wl is a great idea, IMHO

But has anyone actually USED this charm yet? I still am not sure what it exactly means - "trading places with the creatures on the map". I too have finished all and received the 2 charms. There were a lot of rewards given getting all the certificates. But is all I get is 30% extra odds, then it was not worth charging these 3 collections. I'd rather just use a turtle along with a sun.

LOL they think we love MM that much, we'd want to trade places with a creature on our manor and live inside the game forever!

Was that the 'minor text' edit they did in the last update?

I also received two I'm using one now with a turtle and when I go banish monsters gypsies snatchings I am getting an insane amount of items....for example I banished a vampire a got all 5 collection items....then a gypsy.. The one with orange shirt and received 6 items.....I'd say if your gonna use the charm. Def use a turlte....but my next plan is to use the nano artifact. A golden phoenix..and a Turtle. And go explore my mansion and friends or 4 hours of madness with no energy loss.....now if that Neptune would show up. Then I would be sooooooooo happy.....THANKS TO ALL FRIENDS THAT SEND TRADE GIFTS.....

But I don't understand the part of exchanging with monsters....would we become one? Weird...

Hi Joe. This is my thought on the subject. I think it's a translation issue. Some of the roamers, like the gypsies we trade with rather than banish. I think the charm gives an increased chance of receiving an item when trading or banishing. Though it would be awesome to exchange places for a bit.

The phrases on the charm may just be a sounds game element. Perhaps it works so well as stated about because it transposes you into the place of the monster when you banish them. Imagine if u will a world where we control the horizontal..... .....

Also...I think they are trying to find inventive ways to combat multigifiting and it's effects on diamond purchases...I can see a lot of quests from now on requiring and insane amount of charging items and using up coins like this last time rapidly...just a hunch. I'm wondering how long for efriend codes stop giving out diamonds....

Either way, I got two too, and am excited by the posts to give one a run. After some much need restocking!!!

thanks for the advice. I am currently running the two different event charms together and the item drops from rooms are pretty good - range from 4 to 6 items, but I am only getting 1 item for monsters. I will try adding a turtle. The benefit of not running an artificat is that I don't feel as if I have to play for endless hours to make it worth charging an artificat. It's summer in Canada and it's time to be outdoors!! (Saying that it will be the hottest day on record today, so maybe I should stay indoors and play)

Sorry to drag this old thread back up but I'm ready to complete this quest and not sure if I should.

I understand that the charm isn't especially useful but if I charge it will I still have monster banishing items dropping and monsters roaming my manor in future events?

Also does the charm stack well with other artifacts and charms? I'm about to get another faithful heart and do like stacking charms and artifacts.

Any advice gratefully received

I finished the event and got the charm. It goes into your inventory, so it doesn't start right away. You choose when you want it to start.

I still get monster weapons, to help banish monsters every time a full moon comes around.

I did use the charm and two updates ago it didn't stop after 7 days!! It kept going. And while it was going, I couldn't use my turtle of luck at all! I did use the infinite charm energy charms though. It finally ended after three weeks! ( and two updates)

I don't know of anyone who has used the charm since the last big update though. I have another charm in inventory, but hesitate to use it after my last experience with it.

I have run my last vanquisher charm today, and can use a turtle with it. It was annoying me sitting there in my inventory, so have got rid lol

Thank you both for the replies, exactly what I needed to know. I was thinking of the reward as an artifact rather than a charm

I now have 2 charms sitting in my inventory - calling me to activate them!!!
