Where can i find a marine map for snatchin-seafarer?

I have a snatcin-seafarer. It asks a marine map with 20 energy. Where can i find a marine map?

They drop in rooms but not often.

They drop when you are playing rooms and I have had them drop in various rooms when running a turtle. I believe that they a using the same Snatchin image for Blackbeard and the Sea-farer Snatchin you just have to take care to check the text beneath the Snatchin.

Yea, I thought I was banishing Blackbeard and he dropped a new Atlantis collection item in exchange for a map. Pretty cool. I've only found that one map though.

Are there many of the snatching blackbeards about, I've only seen one on a friends manor

There aren't a ton. The best thing to do is when you find a friend who has one (check over level 80 friends) banish it, toggle to the next friend, then go back to the one with the seafarer and he'll be back to banish again.

He ( Blackbeard) is not around much, I did the same and banished the seafarer snatchin by mistake, what's bugging me is that you need collection items from the brig and how are you supposed to get there without plenty of Blackbeards around? Just re-read that sentence and realised it wouldn't mean anything to someone not playing MM lol

I got both seafarer & blackbeard in my manor. Feel free 2 come & whack them

I banished a bunch of them this morning with a turtle running, and I got all of the items needed within ~15 minutes.

I have seafarer in my manor. (but no Blackbeard)

Yep, these are new Karen...for the island quest. Read this thread to see further information. http://www.mmuff.com/t727-marine-map. It appears you don't want to charge the collection for one quest until you've completed finding the maps in question for this other quest. Also, I am assuming the old "don't banish your own roamers" rule comes in to play, if you want to find one that does drop. QV says she never plays without a turtle running, so that probably will help the drop rate, also.

QV would you be willing to cut and paste your guide to the island quests into the Guides section? Titled. Guides: Island Quests or something similar? It would be a big help to direct people directly to that section of the site. Admin could STICKY it like the other guides so it stays at the top of the section.

You're not kidding when you say not often. I searched 100 rooms this morning with a turtle and decleration of independance running total marine maps ZERO.

They were dropping before I got the first 5 but as soon as I got to needing 5X5 to get to the island nothing.

I was lucky to have several drop from the " pay to enter" rooms. I even had 2 drop from the lab at the same time! I don't know if the drop rate is different for those rooms, but it only took me a day to collect all the items to get into the island that way

You may have somthing there. I was searching the pay to enter roomes, to do the other quests, when I got the maps that did drop, so it may be that only some rooms drop the maps (or at least some rooms have higher drop rates).

I don't have a lot of keys to "pay to enter" rooms so I searched "free to enter" rooms counterclockwise starting from the living room. I skipped all "pay to enter" rooms and cleared the phenonema. So far I found marine maps 50% of the time. I have monster charm and cornucopia on. Hope it helps.
