Not pressing "Thank" in Gift window

Now that I'm required to click "OK" to a "Gift sent" pop up after EVERY "Thank" tap, I am no longer bothering to click "Thank" for anything. It's Just such an infuriating pain in my butt I simply refuse to do it. I assume of course this means no one is getting "Mystery Gifts" from me. Huge bummer.

Has anyone tested to see if senders still get a myster gift even if you don't tap Thank and OK after you accept their Gift?

Just do not press "Thanks" for mystery gifts. Pressing "Thanks" on mystery gifts will lock up, press "X" and mystery gifts will go away. Press "Thanks" for other gifts will work the same as it did before update. Hope I made this clear to all.

One way you can do it is press the mystery gifts only once and keep them on the 'thank' screen. When you collect an actual gift and 'thank' to send the mystery gift, all of your received mystery gifts will disappear. Does that make sense?

But in response to the original post, it is annoying, but as someone pointed out, your friends took the time to gift you, couldn't you take the time to thank them?

I have not personally checked to see if a mystery gift is sent if you do not push the "Thank" button but from what I have read/been told on this forum is that the gift is not sent.

I know it is a pain but I try to always send the mystery gifts. Sometimes my ipad crashes mid gift send and all my "thanks" to send mystery gifts dissapear. (sorry to my friends!)

I'm referring to the new behavior in the Gift receipt process after you receive a non-mystery gift and tap the "thank" button. Prior to 2 updates ago all you had to do was tap "Thank" and your mystery gift was on its way to the sender. However now you have to click "Close" too, on another pop up that takes several seconds to appear that specifically tells you "Gift sent". It did not used to prompt you to do this.

So, they've added this I am guessing to let people know the act of clicking "Thank" is in fact sending a gift. However this new annoying feature is time consuming and VERY frustrating.

They should remove the "Gift sent" pop up. It adds nothing but frustration. I'm willing to bet other people are skipping this arduous process as well.

The mystery gifts I receive are 90% useless anyway. Why make us spend 5 times longer on a process that rarely delivers anything useful to the recipient.

The problem is that they miscoded the mystery gifts in the latest release to call the Thank response. If you think about it, it makes sense that this would cause problems because Mystery Gifts are the results of someone clicking Thank on your gift. So if you can Thank for a Thanks, you get into an infinite loop. They must have some kind of check that prevents this loop, but in the meantime it means that clicking Thank just causes the system to spin its wheels.

Don't throw away the gift, though. Click Take but don't click Thank and close the window. You'll still get the mystery gift without sending the server into a tailspin.

I hear you. I'm not sure everyone in the thread is responding to your exact question. Yesterday I received probably close to 300 gifts because the day before I had asked ALL my friends for items. When I click "Thank" it usually takes at least 30 seconds of the "Please wait" window to come up and pinwheel, then the "Gift Sent" box to pop up. If I had done that for all 300 gifts then it would have taken me AT LEAST 2.5 hours to get through all of my gifts. So, needless to say, I didn't.

I also have a real problem sending gifts from my wall. When I try to multigift from the wall, my game crashes every time. When I tap the icon just once, to send only one gift, it takes 1-2 minutes to send. That is, if I don't get a "Connection Required" popup first. I've been struggling to just get through my wall requests every night.

I really do try to be nice to my friends, but if it means I have to spend 3-4 hours every night without ever getting to "play", then I just can't do it!

When my gift window is running very slowly, I'll close the app and force close it on my iPad. When I go back iN, the gifts and thanks are much quicker... Just a few seconds for each. I can get gifts and send 100 thanks in less than 30 min.

Engineer, you've got the wrong conclusion. The right one is that you've got more friends than you can handle, so you should get rid of some of them. You won't get 300 gifts per night, but you will be able to treat your friends properly. And, I think, that's a MUST on this game.
