Keys for Strigoli Castle

Anybody working on this quest? It was hard enough to build the castle. Took me 4 days of requesting gifts from friends for hours.
So, finally, I get a castle. But need keys to get in. Have to banish/attack vampire brides of Strigoli to get keys. Need expensive combs to banish them. I can't afford to buy the combs with diamonds so finally I earn a comb exploring. I can only "attack" the bride, because an actual banish costs tons more of diamonds. So I attack her, and I didn't even get a key. Near as I could tell, i got nothing. Has anyone experienced this? I have to go to my yard to even find a vampire bride. Is this game just getting to be too much or what???
This is the first special quest I've tried, so maybe I have things to learn yet. Help!

You certainly need a lot of either patience or diamonds to play this game. I have the first and save the last , but the keys for all the buildings in the yard take a long time - I haven't opened any yet.

So it's normal that it takes a lot of effort to banish the brides (yes, since a couple updates ago all the monsters are only in the yard, but you can also find them in your friends yards!) And yes, it's true, you don't get a thing if you only attack the monsters and that's why you should gather a lot of them before you use them and only do so while you have a turtle charm running so that you at least get some collection objects even if you don't get a key (they really drop rarely)

(@anyone: Where is the "how to battle bosses"-thread? I saw it a couple of weeks ago but didn't find it again... help?)

Oh very good to know. I don't have many turtles. Seem hard to get. I have only one. Yes, those keys sure are hard to get.

I am thinking its cheaper to buy a chest to get in castle, crypt or whatever than trying to collect keys individually.

It's usually best to try to get into the 'paid' rooms when you have no keys at all. The snatchin merchant pops up, gives you 300 keys and 2 hearty dinners for 69p around 40 cents? It's happened to me with Selene, Sakura and Vampire crypt.

Yeah but how do u "try" to get in? The crypt is kind of different from the other rooms. As is the strigoli castle too. I did have a pop up thing fOr other rooms that are on the manor page. You are talking about rooms that are in the yard right? Any suggestions on how to trigger the snatchin merchant? I have never found Selene, where the heck is it? But I'm only level 42.

I can only speak from my own experience. Use. The keys, fight the boss. Try to enter room. I used what goblets I had then entered again prepared to pay the 15 diamonds for the goblets to enter, but the merchant popped up. The merchant also popped up when I didn't have enough seeds to enter the sakura room.

Selene is the spaceship to the right of the moon, you may not have unlocked it yet.

The meys that I mean are the goblets and standards. Not the ones required to fight the boss.
