Sending collection items you don't need?

What do you do when someone sends you a collection item you don't need? Do you politely send it back? I feel really bad but one of my friends keeps sending me collection items I have tons of. This time I have 15 of the item they sent and I really don't need it. They are a lower level player and it is very nice they sent it but I feel bad. Should I just send it back? What do you do?

On the same thought, if someone sends you a diving helmet or some other item you can't use anymore and they keep sending them, do you let them know? I just don't want someone wasting a gift on me that I can't use. Would you just keep your mouth shut or politely let them know so they can use that gift on someone else?

I know some players do this. They do it without expecting anything in return. They simply want to use up their Send 10 Collection Items per day limit so they can get the free mystery gift in return. There were times when I would get forks, and I wouldn't gift back, and I'll get more forks the next day.

Every now and then, I do visit these players and leave them a gift just to say thanks.

Regarding free items I no longer can use - same answer. Some people just send random free gifts to random people so they can collect the mystery gift. I keep silent.

If it's a diving helmet or airconditioner, I really need to speak up and say something, because I feel it's my duty to let them know how the system works. I say, "thanks for the aircon but I can't use it because I already opened my lab. A mobius bow, I could use." And she's glad for the info, because then her future gifts aren't wasted, and this info will probably benefit other players as well.

As for a fork, I do the same as Admin - I keep silent. And if she does it often, I send something equally useless back, like a monster under the bed. She gets the message sooner or later.

I am already receiving many mystery gifts every day. However, should I also be sending out my extra collection items? Do you receive 1 mystery gift per collection item or 1 mystery gift per 10?

You can send 10 collection items a day. You can send a collection item via a friend's Wishlist, or through your Gift -> Send collection page.
