Missing collection gifts!

So it's bad enough that we get mystery gifts that are empty. Now one of my trades didn't go through. I sent a rum cake 24 hours ago and my friend still hasn't gotten it. I wasn't having any connection problems at the time so I don't know why it didn't go through. But now I don't have another one to send and I feel crappy about it. I know it's just a game but I think even in a game your word should mean something. Going to try and trade for another and hope it goes through. Any tips/tricks to keep this from happening?

Unfortunately, an unreliable network is just that. My guess is, although you didn't have any problem sending it, perhaps the receiver had network issues while receiving.

It is also possible that you have sent it to the wrong person (I've done this before!). We can't track who we gifted to though, so there isn't anything we can do about it.

This happened to me a couple of times, but exactly for the reason of sending to wrong persons. In my friend list, i have many julies, nicoles, sams, and snatchins. I wonder if they can merge the wall w/ some functions in the friend tab: b/c many ppl trade collection items and transactions are proposed, discussed and agreed by posting to wall, would it make sense to have "send gift" function/option in the wall? Just a thought

Ken, that's a great idea. We should be able to wall collection item requests!

I just visit them from the wall and send the collection item from their manor page. That way I know that it gets sent to the right person. Just be careful that your finger doesn't slip and accidentally send a gift you didn't mean to--there should really be a "confirmation" popup that prevents that from happening...

That is how I do it too. Otherwise I can't remember what the trade was!

but it takes great amount of time and carefulness to find the right person in the friend list (gosh, more than hundreds of friends and i can not group or sort them-like google plus circles)and gift them. oh, keep in mind the network sometimes gives us trouble...

I agree that it takes forever to scroll through friends and find the right one, and I think that should be fixed. I was just pointing out one option that's worked for me until the developers give us other tools. There's no scrolling through friends if you visit them straight from your wall.
