Update and new room

Any changes like last update where things that used to cost coins, now cost diamonds? Last time we needed to stock up on pointers and what not because the new update charged diamonds for them, where the older version charged coins.

I have just over 100 friends, I recommend that people who have a small number of friends like I do, visit friends for the visiting bonus before updating. Then you can collect the rest after you update. Last time, I updated and found that not even 51 of my friends updated before the visiting reset the next day!

I have looked at the shop and you can still use coins to purchase copper elephants, Phoenix and clover, so no change there. The new charging items all cost diamonds and out of the three new collections, one (Legends of Atlanteans) can be bought with diamonds, each item costing 16 therefore 16 x 5 = 80. Reward is 11500 coins, breakfast, 4 idols, 65 shells. It looks as if shells are needed to access the island.

When you get the quest to find the book of Eastern magic in the garden with the will o the wisp, make sure to use the trick to keep the phenomenon in there. I've explored it like 20 times and it still hasn't dropped.

Has anyone tried multi-gifting with the new update?

Here's what I've come up with so far. My inf. energy still works. Wall request has limit. New charging item levels:
Campfire= level 99
Robinsons calendar = level 55
Robinson's flask = level 75

Haven't found the level for other item yet

All else appears to function normally

I think that the "Thank you gift sent" message is a way of tracking how many are actually sent by you. I think I am still going to ask people not to send thank yous (unless, of course the multi gifting is gone). That will be a SAD day.

I noticed that my manor has more snatchins than I had before. I also have more gypsies. Before I just had robots and a few ninjas. The restore strength window seems to pop up about every minute that I am idle. (Weird, especially since I'm at full strength.)

There still doesn't seem to be a purposeful way to organize friends (alphabetically, or by level). I can't visit anyone yet, so I don't know about that friend popping to the top. I'd really like to be able to star people based on thier gifting and help in the game.

The Shop: I don't remember what was there before, but:
Energy: Nothing for coins, just diamonds
Chests: All diamonds
Charms: Coins (elephant of wisdom, copper phoemix, copper clover) Diamonds (Turtle of luck, magic magnet, golden elephant, golden phoenix, golden clover)
There are no more charms that you can buy. I feel like some are missing right? (Silver sun, etc)
Access: New Magic shells are available for the tropical island room (9 diamonds for 10 of them)and everything is diamonds
Weapon: Marine maps for 85 diamonds are new, everything else diamonds except horns, hammers, pistols, and fire crackers)
Tools: All diamonds
Collection Chargers: Robinson calendars are new, they still have the ones from Fourth of July, and all are diamonds only.
Misc: All diamonds

I'll update more as I play. I am SO sad about not layering charms for energy. How will I ever make use of a turtle completely again?

Do flashlights cost diamonds now too? If so I am gonna stock up before I update!

Can anyone tell me how to get the island room? Thx

By the way, don't waist your time waiting phenomenons in the right room. The books drop never. Just search rooms where that book might be drop.
Seems that multi gifts still work.

Does it count if you get gifted the book?

Yes. Gifted book is count.

I am having problems asking friends for charge items (especially for the new collections). When I ask some of them, I get a message saying that I already asked that friend- and I know that I have not.

Anyone else having that issue?

I am at level 127, and the futark runes just dropped from a room search for me for the first time ever.

Interestingly you can ask for other changing items as normal so I wonder if they are limiting the access to new charging items. I have played a coup,e of rooms and one of the new charging items has dropped so they are at least giving them out. I wonder if friends will be able to gift them?

How are you supposed to acquire the pieces of the island photo? 25 diamonds(or whatever they cost) is ridiculous...even for G.I! Don't you think??

You will get quests telling you which ones drop in which rooms. I doubt they drop before you get the quests.

it seems that you can only ask people have updated for the bits. That's what I can make out?

I can't request any gifts either - just keeping getting message for both new and old collections.

I have no new gifts available to me, but I am only level 76.

I just finished the questwhere you have to have a Mist to get a book to drop. I explored the room MANY times with the Mist and the book never dropped, but when I gave up and just closed out of the room, the book HAD dropped, but it did not show up in the list of items. So maybe they have caught on?

I restarted MM and now can ask friends for gifts.

I finally gave in and asked a friend if she would give a book back to me if I sent one to her.
