August Monsters return

The full moon actually started (UK) 02 August 2012.

I have this image of a single GI programmer haplessly logging in to each account and adding a monster to everyones manor, which is why it's taking so long and flawed.

Talking of images, not sure if this is allowed. But, Historical 2012 full moon in UK.

Just think is that is an amazing shot.

The 5th ribbon for achievement #32, "Scatterer of Darkness" requires banishing 100 horsemen. One of the prizes is 'Van Helsing's Weapons Chest' which I am very excited to find!

I have a weakened ancient skeleton down to 3/10. Anyone else got one? I need to banish 10...

This game is getting so frustrating and seems so much worse since the update. This forum has been so great to remind me that I am not alone in my frustration! For those of you looking for monsters, I have 2 demons, a werewolf, and a dark adept. When I banish the gypsies, they just come back. I also have 2 blackbeards and 2 seahorses if you need those. My friend code is 68335b.

I am seeing very few monsters on friends manors :-( On a plus side the chest as a reward for banishing monsters which starts with banishing 3 Succabus seems to be awarded on what you did last time. I only banished 1 Succabus and it instantly gave me the chest and all the achievements leading up to it!! :-) In the Van Thingy chest is 50 of each banishing item, just a pity I can find enough monsters to banish lol

I don't think this new Monster Hunt is even possible for me. Read the NEWS boxes and it says I have to charge the Walking Dead #109 collection x5 in order to get 5 Zombie heads for my 'First Diploma' - Zombie Hunter.

Well, that's not possible as I don't have enough Walking Dead characters and there aren't any zombies! (Or are there?)

So, as I had enough werewolf items #115, I thought "I'll risk charging it and see what I get". I got a werewolf, but no Diploma, as needed for #127 Silver Van Helsing.

I've read through Sams Zombie hunter thread but can't see anything relating to how to actually get these Diplomas. The NEWS box says to charge collections!! If I need the Zombie Hunter, then it's impossible for me.

& Finally, can someone explain to this numbskull how the Achievements tie in with the Quests (from Jones), starting with the 3x Haughty Succubi? (Reward shows a bar of chocolate). I'm scared to do those in case I need items for the Quests and I'm low on money already, and I'm only on Swamp creatures :O

I may be wrong, but I think the achievements are separate from the quests, you'll automatically get those as you banish things, and its just another way of keeping score. When you banish succubi etc for your quests, they will count towards your achievement.

I am still trying to charge the collections too, I am going through the quests (slowly!) and am hoping that eventually I'll either have enough from doing the quests to charge the diplomas etc and get the charm, or I'll finish the quests and as a separate mission over the next full moons over the next few years - being optimistic you see! - Ill find enough zombies etc on other friends manors to charge the diplomas.

I hope I'll be able to, anyway!

Check out my previous Post on Van Helsing, should be under game strategy, and you will find the sequence of quest n how many times you need to charge it.

Stock up on skulls, aspen leaves, bullets n garlics. The quantity required is gigantic.

what happened during the first full Moon event was that the monster appeared when you had a quest for it. For example, banish 10 zombies, then you will have a zombie I'm your manor. I have learnt from the seniors here that you can keep the zombies in your manor for others. First banish 9 zombies, then visit friends. When you see 2 zombies in friends manor, then you banished him. In this way, when you return to own manor, you see the zombie is still there. Otherwise, he disappears.

Generally, a tip is to visit the players on the rating list n find weakened monsters. I believed many forum members will start posting soon. Keep a watch out on those, n good luck on your search

I've got a stone gargoyle amongst other things. If you can't add me, I'm friends with quite a few of the regular posters on here.

I checked out some friends collections and found they had multiple diplomas. If the diploma is provided from the quest, how can anyone have multiple diplomas????

If I only manage to get 2 diplomas during the August event, will my next quest be for the third diploma when the event comes up again? Or will I start over?

I don't have enough high level friends to build up the chargers in time to finish. Running low on coins, too. I would just give up if I know my progress will be lost anyway.

I didn't finish last time (only got one diploma done) and I started from where I left off working on my second diploma.

Sorry if this is a duplicate question, but does the monster event happen every month? Wondering if I should stress out trying to banish maniacs or just wait til next time around...
