I have what is probably a silly question, but here goes.

I have quests that tell me to trade with gypsies to get things. When you hit the Banish button, does that mean you're actually trading with them? I'm guessing that's what it is, but for all I know there could be a hidden button somewhere that I need to push instead for trading. Smile

    Yes, banishing is 'trading.'

Sometimes, it helps to know which type of gypsy you need to trade with in order to get your item. When I started out, I always banished the wrong monsters.

That's good to know. I'm able to trade with an Elder Gypsy; a Golden Knight for the Dark Horse. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't about to lose a collection item.

I do have other quests, for copper and silver horseshoes, but I haven't collected any more of those for awhile now. Like you, I'm wishing I hadn't banished a few gypsies earlier, or I would have had more..

In this quest where you need to gather 2 sorts of things, it is best to get the most valuable first. In the quest the item is `checked`. Then can use this item as much as you can. The `check`remains!! At the end of the quest then you lose only 1 item.
Example: quest with 30 silver and 30 copper horseshoes. I got the silver horseshoes as reward of charging horse collection. It was `checked` . Then I used these horseshoes to trade with gypsies. Used them all! Then bought 30 copper horseshoes. This way I lost only the 30 copper horseshoes.
I also have the quest with the golden knight. My strategy is to charge the collection where you get hand of Midas and 50 golden horseshoes. Then tot use all these horseshoes to trade with gypsies. Then to trade the golden knight with the elder gypsy for the horse. This way I lose only the horse......
Long message, but I hope I made my point Very Happy

Thanks, Mahera. Thanks to this forum I've been learning various things like that. One quest I'm currently working on in one that involves me collecting 10 each of Klein Vase, Mobius Bow, and Schrodinger Crate. I collected the first two and got the checkmark, but am still working on the Crate (wish more people would realize they CAN gift it even if it doesn't show up in their gift list...).

Getting back to the Gypsies....I have the silver horseshoe and the copper horseshoes quests, but am having no luck getting anymore horseshoes. Should I just give up and use the ones I have to banish the gypsies that I can with them?

You're going to have to complete the quest no matter what, so don't just "waste" them. If you have the diamonds, I recommend getting the 30 silver, getting the check mark, and then spending them. Then you can just wait until you find the copper, or buy those and end up losing them. If you have the quest for 40 copper horseshoes too, then I recommend buying 40 all at once so that you don't lose the 30 and then have to build back up to 40 again. Also, the quest for 40 doesn't say this, but they are taken from you when you complete it. Good luck!

There are some collections that offer a quantity of horseshoes (copper, silver, golden) once you charged it. Instead of spending diamonds directly on horseshoes I'd prefer to get them via collecting items.

Anyway, as a reminder, 10 copper horseshoes just take you 6 diamonds in the shop, which is a pretty good deal for me, bearing in mind that banishing gypsies can give you some items (though not always) as well as experiences. (If you don't have any copper horseshoes in stock, it asks for 1 diamond when you banish a gypsy boy or girl.)

Is that also true with the coins after they are checked? If so, I might want to buy some charms before they are taken away.....

I believe so, but coins are very easy to come by. They're pretty useless after opening Sakura room.

Coins are not that useless. I find that it helps to keep banishing Bookworm Snatchins (1200 coins to banish = 50 xp each + a few coins + charging item), especially when you're nearing the next level and don't have any energy left to explore rooms. Sometimes, I go to a lower level neighbour who have at least 5 of them roaming around.

Plus, you can use the coins for the copper charms (elephant, phoenix, and clover), if you don't want to use diamonds and don't have any of the other charms that usually costs diamonds. Smile

Yes. Those are the only uses for gold at later levels. I use them in the same way.

I noticed that after Sakura room, my gold is increasing though I spend it in the above manner. I currently have 400,000. Some friends on my list have over 1,800,000. Supposedly, one friend has over 4 million.

Perhaps there will be more use for them in the future.

I'm still trying to get the 75,000 needed to get into room 51. Does the lab, Sakura, or Ocean room require coins to enter? If so, how much.

I haven't spent coins in awhile and I only had two coin helpers for the longest time, so it has been slow going. I recently deleted a couple of inactive players (can't call them friends) and luckily I got two new coin helping friends with high percentages. Here's hoping I'll unlock room 51 within the next 24-36 hours. :-)

Still working on putting my diamond drill together for the Lab...only 30 more a/cs to go!LOL

Work on the new bathing suit quests! After I found the second one I got over $100,000 coins and a chest full of golden charms!

Once you get Room 51 open, you'll need 10 Secret Containers in order to enter each time. I was able to get some as I visited friends and also banished an alien or two roaming my friends' manors. So far I've only had enough to enter it once.

I think the Sakura room needs golden seeds in order to enter, once you've unlocked it with 99,900 gold coins. I haven't opened mine yet because I'm still building up my coins after spending them all in Room 51. Smile

Sakura Room requires Golden seeds, which are easier to come by. Oceanic Rooms requires Golden Corals, which are a total pain in the butt to get.

Got the swimsuit quest done following your sequence (even got rid if idol to do it) and leveled up to 28 at the completion. I decided to use my windfall to open the Sakura room before room 51. I have seeds to enter it and figured the higher coin intake would help me open rm 51. I haven't collected enough items to enter room 51 yet, perhaps they will drop today when I visit friends. :-)
