Guide: Finding Oil Cans quickly

Oil cans appear in the drop list of certain rooms once they have certain curses: the Kitchen, Living Room, Bedroom and Bathroom all show an oil can in the drop list when they have any curse except Zero Gravity Curse.

To get the curse is simple: Banish any phenomenon from the room (except the UFO) and the curse will be waiting. Then search the room - searching with a turtle guarantees an oil can will drop and sometimes will drop 2 cans. In order to get lots of cans quickly you simply need to shutdown MM and restart to keep the curse in the room. This works as long as you don't accept the dropped items but press the home key as soon as your dropped items are revealed. Then double hit the home key and hold on MM until the x appears and then shut it down. Then restart.

With a turtle running it is quite easy to drop 50 cans in an hour - all you need to worry about us where to get the energy and the patience. Good luck

Made evil eye in bath room & found parts of Island Quests at the same time as below:
Q. Benedict is faithful to mermaid: x25 Mermaid Vodkas ( Bathroom at night)
Q. The aroma of sea breeze: x25 Sea Breeze Port Wines (cloakroom/dressing room)
Post Island Quest items on WL too.



Below was found in hunting room before i find oil can:
Q. Hearty meal: x 25 fillets (Oceanic room)
Q. To wet a whistle: x25 Drunken Joe Whiskeys (hunting room)
Q. Adele suggests Cognac: x25 Dauphin Cognacs ( Hall, silhouette mode)
I suggest found with oil can at the same time in hunting room too.

Not sure if it is the new update or my current setup, but I have been dropping oil cans around 75% of the time when exploring the bedroom.

My setup:
Witch's Curse in Japanese Garden, Library, and Living Room.
Mist Phenomenon in the Kitchen and Bathroom.
Curse of the Evil Eye in the Hallway
Curse of the Stone in the Africa Room
UFO Curse In The Hunting Room

My theory, like the original poster, is that the Phenomenon's and or curses improve the odds of the oil can dropping. However, unlike the original poster, I have not needed a curse in the Bedroom for the oil can to drop repeatedly. Wondering if I had a curse in the dressing room my odds would improve even more.

The latest update improved the drop rate of oil cans. Running a turtle, each room has close to 100% drop rate.

That is my experience too.

Oil cans have been dropping for me in just about every room, even if I'm just running a clover. A lot easier to find now!
