Trouble asking friends for gifts through wall requests

Is anyone else having trouble asking for items through the wall request feature? I had no trouble yesterday, but today I keep getting the "You have already requested an item from this friend." Originally, I thought it was just coming up on friends that had not yet updated, but I was able to do it yesterday to everyone in my list, so now I am confused...

I'm getting the same message, I did request wall collections ok before and usually the list of friends is then empty until the counter resets and you can request the next batch, but now I have a full list of friends and cannot request a gift from any of them.

I have the same problem. Has anyone figured out what is causing this or how to fix it?

It seems that a full 24 hours has to elapse before you can ask for another item from a friend, but the window "refreshes" before that 24 hours has gone by. In other words, the friends list resets before you can actually send out more requests. Just one more annoying bug, I think...

Here's my new theory based on what I experienced. I was able to ask friends this morning without a problem. When I tried this afternoon it wouldn't let me even though I asked people I knew I hadn't asked in last 24 hours (or even a week). I wonder if you are only allowed to ask friends once a day, and when you exit and close game and then come back to the game later it thinks you already asked all your friends and you have to wait for 24 hour reset.

I'm pretty sure it's not exiting out of the game that is the issue. Because I closed out several times and could still request more gifts, I think it must be that you can only ask a friend again after it has been 24 hours, even when your list of friends resets when your gifts reset.

It's very annoying trying to figure out which friends I haven't requested items from yet. All the gifts - asking and giving used to reset together.

Hi mariahorn, I have no problem sending request to friends who I haven't sent requests before. Also, I've checked this morning, I was able to send requests to those friends who I have sent requests after 24 hours. I don't think its a bug, the 24 hours rule seems to apply on individual friend basis.
